Our Organization
The
Youth Outreach Network (Youth-Net) is the
Dallas-Ft.Worth / North Texas
association of Youth Workers and the
local expression of the National
Network of Youth Ministries.
Our Mission
Is to
unite the Body of Christ to reach
out and minister to all youth in the
DFW / N.Texas Area.
Every Kid, Every Campus, Every
Community
Our Strategy
Is to
facilitate the networking of youth
workers for:
- Prayer
- Fellowship
- Mutual Encouragement
- Sharing of Resources
... as a basis for cooperative
outreach to the youth of their
community
The
Youth Outreach Network was born in
1989 in an Evangelical Alliance of
Greater Dallas meeting when over 100
pastors unanimously decided that the
single emphasis on which they wished
to cooperate was to reach the youth
of the Metroplex. In 1995 the
Youth Outreach Network became a
501(C)(3) nonprofit organization
recognized for tax deductibles
giving. It is governed by a board
of local DFW businessmen and an
advisory council of local church
youth ministry professionals.
Today the Youth Outreach Network
links together over 4,000 churches
and para church organizations in the
DFW / N.TX area, and coordinates
metroplex wide outreach strategies with the
goal of presenting the gospel to
the Metroplex's 1
million young people. |
